Collection Lasting Perfection Review:
The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is an amazing concealer, not only for coverage and its 16 hour wear. I know 16 hours. Anyway, it is water resistant and transfer proof. Which personally, I find amazing. Now for those of you who don’t know what transfer-proof means, basically it means, that it won’t “get on” anything else like jumpers and tops etc. The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer was the first concealer I ever bought, and I go back to it literally every time I do my make-up. I am now on my 2nd bottle in the space of a year and a half, so as you can probably tell, this concealer lasts quite a while and I use it practically every day. My (skin-tone) shade is No 2, Cool Medium.
This concealer is especially great for blemishes and red spots as well as under-eye circles. This concealer is matte and works well on all skin types (dry, oily, normal or combination skin) which may sound odd but trust me, this is one of the best high-street/drugstore concealers there are. I would definitely recommend this concealer to anyone from someone who is just starting up their make – up collection to someone who is looking for a new product to try. Furthermore, for the price £4.19, it’s one of the best and cheapest concealer out there.
However, I have found, that over time the packaging does rub off, so it no longer says Collection lasting Perfection Concealer. But, nevertheless it doesn’t affect the product inside which is the main thing.
Top Tips:
This goes for any concealer, but if you are going to apply concealer on spots, put the make-up on the back of your hand and then apply it from the back of your hand to the spot. This is because if you apply concealer straight from the applicator to the spot, any bacteria that the spot obtains, that will transfer onto the applicator and then back into the bottle. When an applicator with bacteria on, goes back into the bottle, the bacteria, will spread throughout the concealer, increasing the chances of more spots to appear.
Make sure, you cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise before applying any make-up to receive the best results. This will also make blending easier and allow the finishing result to feel and look smooth, natural and even.
Wait 5 – 10 minutes after applying moisturiser to apply any concealer, so it doesn’t go cakey and flake off.
Again this goes for any concealer/ foundation/ BB Cream, when using a sponge, dampen it with water and then blend because this makes blending so much easier and adds an airbrushed effect to your make – up. Now who wouldn’t want an airbrushed effect?
Don’t try to guess your shade online, unless you are 100% certain, as the colours do vary.
